As a child, I remember living in the moment.  Life seemed so easy and carefree.  My biggest problems revolved around remembering to water my Chia pet and making sure my Barbie playhouse was in order before bedtime.  I wasn’t worried about what the next day could bring, or the next hour, for that matter.  I was able to enjoy each experience as it came along.  During my teenage years, life got more difficult.  The pressures of finding my identity, living up to my own expectations, and excelling in school became priorities.  As college planning approached, decisions needed to be made about what I would study and how best to pursue a “successful” singing career.

Somewhere along the way, everything became very fast-paced.  Instead of focusing on daily tasks, appreciating every performing opportunity, and truly investing in spending quality time with family and friends, I found it so easy for my thoughts to drift into the future and anticipate weeks, months, and years in advance.  In the process, true joy began to elude me.  Towards the end of my college studies, I became tired.  I was tired of missing moments. I was tired of saying to myself, “Oh, when such and such just happens, then I can slow down.”  Over the proceeding months, my mentality changed.  I found excitement in the mundane.  I began to enjoy living

A little over a year and a half ago, I left everything I knew to chase a crazy dream.  Nashville has already been an amazing ride.  In addition to meeting incredible people, performing at various events, and having opportunities to hone my craft, I’ve grown and learned so much about who I am as an artist and person.  There have been ups, and there have been downs.  But all of it has been so rewarding and fulfilling.

While I know that it has been said many times before, life is a journey.  I’ve finally come to embrace that truth.  I believe there is so much beauty to be found in knowing that every roadblock, career advancement, heartbreak, detour, and mountaintop moment paints a colorful picture that can inspire others.  I also believe that every person has been given a story and gift that, when shared, can leave a legacy that echoes into eternity.

I invite you to join me.  First, I’d love for you to join me on the journey of being intentional about savoring each day’s experiences because there are far too many moments that we should treasure.  Let’s use our unique talents to make a difference in the lives of those around us.

I also invite you to join me on my journey as a country singer and entertainer.  Since moving to Nashville, I’ve been writing songs and developing my sound as an artist.  I’m really excited for you to start hearing some of my music.  Updates will be posted on social media and my website as they become available.  Thanks so much for taking the time to learn a little bit about my story.  I can’t wait to share more of it with you.  I look forward to staying in touch!
